Carmel
THURSDAY, MARCH 4
4:20 p.m. — An 18-year-old Mahopac resident, whose name is being withheld for possible youthful offender status, was arrested and charged with fourth-degree possession of a weapon and traffic violations after police allegedly found a set of metal knuckles in the center console of his car during a motor vehicle stop on Agor Lane.
He was released on his own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in court April 5.   

Cortlandt
WEDNESDAY, MARCH 3
2:27 p.m. – Douglas DiCola, 47, of  Croton-on-Hudson, was arrested by Westchester County Police Officer Rob Kelly on 6th Street in Verplanck and charged with driving while intoxicated and first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, both felonies, after a motor vehicle stop. The charges were elevated to felonies because DiCola has previous driving while intoxicated-related convictions in the past 10 years.
DiCola, who was also issued several summonses for traffic violations, is due in Cortlandt Town Court on March 12.

FRIDAY, MARCH 5
1:24 p.m. – Daniel Didomizio, 49, of Peekskill, was arrested at Kohl’s Department Store on Route 6 and charged with petit larceny, a misdemeanor, and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a felony.
Didomizio was detained by security after allegedly attempting to leave the store without paying for a $60 item. County Police Officer Rob Kelly placed him under arrest and, during a body search, located a double-bladed knife concealed in Didomizio’s coat, according to police.
Didomizio is due in Cortlandt Town Court on March 19.

YORKTOWN
SATURDAY, FEB. 27
4:45 p.m. – Yolanda Flores, 35, and Maria Portello, 58, of Mt. Kisco, were arrested and charged with petit larceny and endangering the welfare of a child, both class A misdemeanors, after stealing merchandise from the Jefferson Valley Mall Sears in the presence of two small children. Martha Guzman, 38, of Montrose, was also arrested on the same charges.
Security personnel at Sears said the three women, working together, allegedly stole three bracelets and various baby items valued at $235.94, according to police. The crime was committed in the presence of an eight-year-old and a four-month-old child. Flores, Portello and Guzman were all released on $100 cash bail each and will appear in court March 11.

MONDAY, MARCH 1
4:48 p.m. – A 16-year-old Mahopac female was arrested and charged with petit larceny, a class A misdemeanor, after she allegedly left the Jefferson Valley Mall Sears without paying for a handbag and assorted underwear valued at $88.
The female, whose name is being withheld due to possible youthful offender status, was released to a parent and is due to appear in court April 1.

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 3
Noon — Sunita Rani, 39, of Mahopac, was arrested and charged with petit larceny after allegedly taking $25 worth of merchandise from Sears, located in the Jefferson Valley Mall, without paying for it.
She was released on her own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in court April 6.
8:30 p.m. – William Anthony Brown, 45, of Yorktown Heights, was arrested on a bench warrant after Brown failed to appear at a scheduled court appearance for multiple traffic charges, according to police. Mt. Kisco police notified Yorktown police they had Brown under arrest for an active bench warrant, and Brown was alter released by Yorktown police on $50 cash bail. He was scheduled to appear in court March 9.
10:14 p.m. – Razia Azizi, 35, of Mohegan Lake, was arrested and charged with petit larceny after allegedly taking an area rug, valued at $29.99, without paying for it from a store display in Sears at the Jefferson Valley Mall.
She was released on her own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in court April 6.

THURSDAY, MARCH 4
4:15 p.m. – Elizabeth Cortes, 20, of Shrub Oak, was arrested and charged with theft of services after allegedly taking a taxi to her home and refusing pay the $39 fare on Dec. 19, 2009. Cortes was arrested and released without bail. She is scheduled to appear in court April 6.

4:25 p.m. – Bruce Adorno, 35, of Shrub Oak, was arrested at his home and charged with third-degree criminal possession of stolen property, a class D felony, and probation violation after a four-month police investigation stemming from a stolen vehicle incident at the Shrub Oak shopping center in November 2009.
He was remanded to Westchester County Jail on $5,000 bail and he is scheduled to appear in court March 11.

9:50 p.m. – An 18-year-old Yorktown Heights resident, whose name was withheld due to his possible youthful offender status, was arrested and charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance after a motor vehicle stop on Route 6.
He was a passenger in the vehicle and police allegedly found marijuana and cocaine in his possession. He is scheduled to appear in court April 6.

FRIDAY, MARCH 5
9:28 a.m. – John A. Briggi, 52, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of an automobile accident after police responded to a report of a car hitting a tree on Andre Place, according to police.
He was released to a responsible adult and is scheduled to appear in court April 6.

PUTNAM VALLEY
TUESDAY, March 2
1:10 a.m. – Jesse Munson, 29, of Putnam Valley, was arrested and charged with seventh-degree possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.
He was processed at the county jail and is being held pending a future court appearance.

SOMERS
STATE
Thursday, March 4
9:30 p.m. - Tiffany Marks, 19, of Yorktown Heights, was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, after a vehicle and traffic stop on Route 6.
Police said Marks was in possession of hydrocodone pills and marijuana. She was released on her own recognizance and is due in town court on March 15 to answer the charge. 

Town
THURSDAY, March 4
9:06 p.m. – A vehicle passing Somers Intermediate School on Route 202 was struck by rocks and suffered visible damage, police said. A parent helped police identify some children who might have been involved.

SATURDAY, March 6
12:10 p.m. – A unit was dispatched to Otha Drive for a reported house fire. Four occupants of the house were found to have safely evacuated and fire units extinguished the fire.

SUNDAY, March 7
10:20 a.m. – A unit was dispatched to Plumbrook Road after a resident reported seeing fishing equipment on the ice of the reservoir with no fisherman attached to it. After interviewing fishermen on the lake it was determined that all fishermen were accounted for.
